July-August 2022

July and August, two blessed months! Moments of joy, moments of trying, but definitely the moments of joy took precedence.

At the end of June, we had the great joy of seeing our old friends from America, Greg and Anne Heisey, whom we hadn't seen since 2019. At the same time as them, our friend from Germany, Michaela Khulman, also visited us. (pictures 1 – 4)

Besides the great desire to see each other again, our reunion had Doinita's wedding as its focal point. Our oldest girl got married!

Cristi Prelipceanu is the chosen one of her heart, a faithful young man from the north of the country, from Radauti. They had their wedding on July 3rd, but before this date we were all involved, children, family, employees, guests, in great preparations. (pictures 5 – 11) We wish them God's blessing to accompany them at every step on the new path they have taken. We love you, our dears!

Together with the Pentecostal church from Piatra Neamt, we participated in a large aid action for Ukraine. We prepared hundreds of packages for families and loaded them into 9 minibuses. We happily worked with our children, with the young people from Elim, but also with our guests who worked tirelessly, not letting their age betray them in any way. (pictures 12 – 15)

We continued this beautiful sharing with another meeting with the young people from Elim, this time at Casa Ray. We sang together, Greg had a special word for young people, we played various games, we ate together. We really enjoyed it! (pictures 16 – 21)

Thanks to the goodwill of our friends from AMRO - Germany, the problem of the grain mill was solved. Now we have our new, efficient mill, perfect for the needs of our farm and home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, dear ones! (pictures 22,23)

Another old friend from Germany also visited us. It is about Georg, who came loaded in his van with clothes and furniture. We spent beautiful moments together reminiscing about pleasant memories. (pictures 24,25)

Also in the chapter of visits we can also include the mother of the Muraru sisters, who came to visit them briefly. (picture 26) And the Linguraru brothers, Beniamin and Loredana, had a meeting with their brothers, a meeting organized by Child Protection.(picture 27) Also, together with the adults and the young people from the Pentecostal Church, we went on a trip to Bacau, where we visited a church and had lunch together at the Mall. Of course, our young people felt good! (pictures 28,29)

Let's not leave the anniversaries of July and August unmentioned: The first was Gheorghe, who turned 9 years old (picture 30), then followed father Mihai, 72 years old, together with a little boy, grandson Misael (1 year old)( picture 31), then Ionel who turned 19 (picture 32) and last but not least, Dumitrita, who became an adult (picture 33). We say many, many blessings on all our holidays!

Household chores followed their normal course, so... inevitably, we have enough pictures to show you in this chapter. (pictures 34 – 49)

One of the sad news we want to share with you is that we have lost one of our milk cows. After she gave birth to a little cow, she never recovered, she never got up from the ground, so after countless treatments and attempts, we had to sacrifice her after 3 weeks. Now, in addition to the orphaned children we have, we also have a small orphaned cow that needs to be fed with a bottle. (picture 50)

Another sad news is that I have not received a favorable opinion after the Periodic Technical Inspection for the blue Mercedes minibus from 1995. It is too rusty, the chassis showing strong signs of corrosion, making it dangerous to continue driving this vehicle. We hope that God will do a miracle in this direction as well, because a cargo minibus is indispensable for us, absolutely necessary.

And one more piece of news, which may not be sad, but it is complicated. We are obliged to divide the Casa Ray Placement Center into two smaller houses, in different locations, even if they are in the same yard. The houses will be called: “Family-type house Casa Ray" and "Family-type house Casa Tatiana”. One of the houses will work in the current center and the other in the guest house we have.

It is a rather difficult process that involves many documents and changes in documents, but also in the spaces we own. Documentation for licensing, documentation for authorizations, documentation to be in order with everything that means infrastructure and so on. We hope to make it to the end with this new challenge. May God give us patience, work power, lots of wisdom and people who will open our doors when we knock on their door.

We thank all our collaborators for being with us and even if the news from us comes more difficult to you, due to the large volume of daily tasks, we assure you that you are in our hearts every day, and hundreds of blessings spoken for you rise to the sky in one! Be blessed!
