Events in July 2015
July was a month with many events that brought joy to the children.
First joy was on July 4th, a big cake from which all those present ate. "Guilty" for this kindness were Andreea (17 years) and Catalina (one of the brides of Gavril family).
On July 5th, we were visited by a Christian psychologist, who talked to all children. Even the toughest of them were very excited about the discussions in particular. This could only make us happy.
Not long after this event, the children were surprised by another big surprise. For a long time they wanted their bicycles, and now is the time to make this dream come true. We received a German transport and bicycles for children, for all ages, were also there.
The bikes were repaired where needed, I made a metal support for them, and best, a bicycle track in Dobreni village was this spring completed, so we started off with the children. Soon I realized that not everyone knows so good to ride a bike, so we went to a large field where they could practice. Now they compete in doing good to qualify for biking.
Third joy to children from Casa Ray, was Andrusca's visit. Everybody jumped in her neck and not cut it out, for a few minutes. Children miss Andrusca and every time she visits us, everyone is very excited.
July has not been without small repairs: Ovidiu Gavril repaired the foundation of the baths outside, giving them a more pleasant look, and Matei Gavril repaired some defect furniture .
Children did a great joy to the elders of the asylum "Saint Pantelimon". They went to visit these people, they sang a few songs and gave each elderly a small present. They learned through this that it is good to receive, but you are more blessed if you bestow.
In turn, the children were visited by a team of 15 young people from America, Florida. Together they played games, socialized, sang, had lunch and finally offered those Americans the children a bag full of goodies.
Very hot days were this month, therefore children have found a solution to cool the least. They filled water bottles and began to spread all around. No one escaped of being coolled off. A few days later another surprise knocked on their door. They got a swimming pool from Germany. We repaired it, it had about four holes and then we filled it with water. Since then, almost every day the children bathed, so they really feel summer.
Because of the heat insects have also multiplied and began to seek shelter in our home. This required a drastic disinfestation / pest elimination. Now we can sit peacefully on the terrace.
The kids are on vacation and to have more options to spend their free time, a hanging old little house was refurbished. We built a ladder and we bought a slide. This brought extra joy to children.
Our farm has changed in July. It was increased by 8 pigs, small but healthy. Children would sleep with these little ones.
The vegetable garden and greenhouse look promising. If God gives us health, as we can see, in the fall we will have a rich crop. We have already started to collect some of the fruits.
Some friends from Germany were already thinking about the fall and winter. To this end they sent us children shoes. And this made us happy. God knows how to take care of the small things that we need!
After joy over joy, they have followed by some small inconveniences. Ionel and Mihaela, every 2 days they had to go to hospital, because certain foreign bodies got into their eyes, which could be removed only by specialists. There were "small" inconveniences, because they quickly went away in 4-5 days and they have fully recovered.
July ended with some visits to some children. Ciprian was visited and took a few days by a family that took care of of him for a period when he was small. Elena was visited and taken one day by her former caregiver.
All children crave and would like to go to some families, especially during the holidays. We try to compensate their wishes, giving them all sorts of things, such as hairdressing lessons, dessert (corn, cherries, watermelon), diversified dishes, love, fellowship, games, study, etc.
God is the father of these children, but we hope that our efforts and yours fill in the void in their hearts, which was formed due to the lack of a family.
