The children's parents are called Guguianu Ovidiu and Guguianu Ramona Elena, and it all started from a divorce.

         Ana and Constantin stayed up to 7 and 5 years at their mother, and they were taken to Elena Doamna Home, together with the other brothers, since their mother went to Italy. After one year thet were taken from the home by their maternal grandparents.

          The children lived with their grandparents for a while, in an apartment with 4 rooms, with another 6 people (two grandparents, an uncle, an aunt and two brothers), a total of 8 people. Grandfather, Gheorghe Lazar is the natural father of the girl's mother. Grandmother, Elena Lazar Alisa is the second wife of the girl's grandfather, stepmother to her mother. Together they have a daughter, Iuliana Lazar, a student in ninth grade. With them Cristi Lazar is also living, the grandfather's son from his first marriage. At these grandparents the children could not feel like a family. We have some of the testimony of Ana's teacher:

           Elena Tutu was born on May 10th, 2005, in Roman, and she comes from a relationship outside marriage, and was not recognized by the father. Unfortunately life did not smile to her, being abandoned by her mother in hospital immediately after birth.

           Elena has been in the care of a professional caregiver until the age of 7, when she became ill and could no longer handle the growth and education of the minor. Over time, this "mother" for Elena died, the received diagnosis being of lung cancer.

            Again a soul tormented because of parental irresponsibility.

            Ciprian Vantoaia was born on 14^th of January 2003, in Piatra-Neamt. He comes from a family legally constituted but curtailed by the separation of parents. His mother left home and has another four children of a cohabiting relationship and thus Ciprian was left in the care of the father.

            He worked as a shepherd and lived in an annex unplastered, equipped with an iron stove, a bed and a table, annex owned by the boss of Ciprian' father. Living in the sheepfold, Ciprian's father could not handle his son's education.

             Constantin was born on the 19th of June 2001 in Piatra Neamt, county Neamt.

             His father didn't recognize him and he was care of by a person from Ruseni village who was cashing  his allowance and other benefits from the Maire House. After this person died, Constantin's sister Ghiurca Ana Maria took care of him until 2003 when she died of AIDS. After his sister's death, Constantin ended up in his mother's care who wasn't very interested in taking care of Constantin. She had 8 other children, some of them left in foreign countries and some were in Foster Care. 

              His mother didn't have a place of her own , any income and she used to live in different men houses.

            Vacaru Laurentiu, the father in this family is a well known unemployed alcoholic and the mother has been diagnosed with a mental deficiency with relational dysfunctions.

            Because of this situation , the children have been neglected and left unsupervised. The living conditions were inhuman , they all  lived in one room so the space was not enough for 6 people and that room was far from clean. The only income was the mother's illness pension of 370 ron and the children allowances.

            In the same yard , there was the house of the maternal grand parents Damian Toader and Damian Didina who didn't want to get involved in the raising of the children under the reason that they are old and sick.

            Vacaru Antonio was born on the 4th of May 2001, Doinita on the 8th of January 2003 , Nicu on the 19th of December 2004 and Laura on the 27th of September 2010. They had one more brother, but by negligence he was run over by a car and died.

      Ciorhan Vlad was born on the 7th of May 1998 and Cristian was born on the 7th of January 2000 in Piatra Neamt. Their family had a lot of social problems - alcoholism, violence, poverty.

         The family was constituted in 1991 and had over the time 5 children. This family had big problems even from the start with violence and different conflicts so 3 of the children were given away to foster home, one child was placed in a center called Romanita and the oldest daughter stayed at home with the parents.

         The Ciorhan's house had 2 rooms without furniture and very dirty with no electricity.

          On the 12th of August 2003 the mother was killed by the father when he was under the influence of alcohol. 

        Madalin was brought in Dobreni village, Neamt county, at a relative who promised to raise Madalin and take him to the local school. He comes from a family with 6 children ( one is dead ) and the father died in 2007. Madalin remembers how his father was feeling very bad, he went to the hospital and came back dead.

         The relative that was supposed to take care of Madalin contacted us to accept Madalin in our Day Care Center. His mother agreed.

           Mihaela Anton was born at the 4th of May 1994 and Anton Alexandra was born at the 3rd of February 1998 in Targu Neamt.

           Mihaela and Alexandra come from a legally constituted family ,in 1991 then the parents divorced in 1995 when Anton Andrei was in jail for theft. The mother had 2children with Anton Andrei : Anton Romulus who died in 1995 and Anton Mihaela . With Tudose Tudorel she lived outside the marriage and had 2 children Anton Delia and Anton Alexandra. The father was arrested for murder so the girls remained with the mother.
